Walking Distance

Are there any beaches that are within walking distance from the piers? Or, do we need to take a taxi to make it to a better beach?

 

My husband is worried about the taxi's. Us either not finding a taxi to make it back to the ship in time, or them trying to charge more than the ride should cost.

 

Also, how far is the town from the pier (I'll be on RCL)?

 

Basically, is there anything worth going to walking distance from the piers?
