Belize Eco Park Kayak Creek Expedition

Hi all,

 

My DH and I are very much looking forward to our upcoming Legend cruise on February 28th. I can't seem to get enough Cruise Critic in the meantime.

 

I was just wondering if anyone else has done the Bacab Eco Park Kayak Creek expedition? I know many have said Belize is not the type of port to just wander around at, so we decided to book that excursion with Carnival. We'll go it on our own at the other ports.

 

For some reason, I have been dying to go kayaking (even though I have never been) and this excursion seemed like a good way to go.

 

Just a couple questions:

 

- What did you think of it? I want to hear the good and the bad

- Did you see any wildlife?

- Did you wear life jackets? I ask this because DH can't swim, and while I am sure the kayak is perfectly safe, I don't want to take any chances.

You might have more luck if you go to the Ports of Call section on this board, and look under Belize. I've been to Belize, but haven't done that excursion. Have a great trip! Kathy
