hoalahapa Posted January 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2005 Hello everyone, I have questions with regards to the ports that the ships stop, etc. Do most of the business accept travelers checks?? Our is is better to just use a credit card. I don't like taking a large amount of cash, not a good idea. I thought that I would see what other travelers have done in the past! Thanks:)
Yukon Posted January 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2005 Virtually everyone accepts traveler's checks, but I think you'll find credit cards to be much easier for the simple reason that they are quicker to process.

I would be prepared with some travellers checks in case the shop does not take credit cards. We prefer credit cards just in case there is a problem with quality, shipping, etc. We only use cash for tips onboard (if not charged to the onboard account) and for any small incidentals on shore. Have a great cruise!
