Im planning a cruise in two months with two small kids. We are driving to port. I wanted to get some insurance just in case one of them ended up with like strep and double ear infections or whatever it is kids pick up and we couldnt go. Do policies cover childhood maladies? Which ones?

Thanks!

Since you're traveling with kids, consider TravelEx Basic or Travel Lite, or TravelInsured Lite or Lite Expanded which will insure kids for free with insured adults, and look to give decent coverage at pretty low prices. You can run the premium costs (and purchase) at the insurers sites or insuremytrip.com.

Otherwise, most Policies cover sickness that prevents you from traveling, but you'd need a Doctor's Note indicating that the sixck one is unable to travel. You DO need to be medically fit to travel when you purchase the Policy. ken
