"Movies" on the Majesty?

I remember reading about this elsewhere. What kind of movies would be shown? Newish releases or strictly kiddie stuff ala Shrek?

I doubt I would waste cruise time watching a movie at any rate, but just curious.

Also, do you need a reservation for the theater shows?

Theater shows are seat yourself, no reservations. As far as movies go, we went in August 2004 and they were showing a mix of movies, some new some old. Castaway with Tom Hanks was one I remember (just what you want to see on a cruise). I thought the TV choices on my last Majesty cruise were lacking compared to the first time.

NCL is not known for their first run or second run movies on a cruise. If you want that better book a Disney or Princess cruise. I thought Holland America did a good job at decent more recent movies on the cabin TV.
