Just got an automated call from Carnival regarding boarding...

I just received an automated call from Carnival inviting us to arrive at the port to board our Freedom cruise between 1:30pm and 3:30pm to avoid long lines.

 

This is my 9th Carnival cruise, and this is the first time I have ever received such a call.

 

Is this something new? Has anyone else received a call like this?

 

1:30 to 3:30 seems kind of late to me. I usually arrive to the port around 11:15am.

I received that call for the first time on my last cruise.

 

Other CCer's have reported getting the call as well.

Seems like they're doing this regularly (which is why it's an automated call! :cool: ). I'd ignore it and show up when you usually do and enjoy a nice lunch on board!

They probably call you to show up later so they dont have to feed you lunch. ;)

recvd one for our recent Jan. cruise. We ignored it and arrived at 10:30 am. We were on by 11:30....If lot's of people go by the call , imagine how long the lines would be at those times...:rolleyes:

Ya, they're just trying to get some people to show up later and spread things out a bit. Get there whenever you wish.
