OrangeKitty Posted February 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2010 My husband and I are hoping to do a drive by cruise of Antarctica next year...and I was wondering whether or not it would make a difference if we did the cruise in earlier February or later February...? Any info, tips, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Babylon5 Posted February 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2010 Yes it does - I´d recommend going as early as possible. The penguin chicks are more active in early February before they start molting. Also, the colonies are in better shape the earlier you go. We used to call the March tour "The dead penguin tour" if you get the picture....
