krnplcd Posted February 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2010 Hi, I've been playing BJ for a while, though for the cruise will be playing 5 dollar a hand probably for the entire trip, i hear NCL comps aren't great relative to a real casino so will just play for a bit... just curious if dealers hit on soft 17 for the lower level hands, I know NCL already only pays out 6:5 ( :( ) so if they also hit on soft 17 then maybe i'll just stick to craps... All ncl casinos hit soft 17 at the $5.00 tables. $25 tables hit and pay 3/2 and $50 and above tables(except pitch games) stand and pay 3/2. Their hitting soft 17 and 6/5 payout on naturals is too big of an edge to give up. Stick to craps if you're only gonna play $5.00 a hand and don't expect many comps , if any, at this level of play. Happy gambling You may find $10.00 minimum at craps, be prepared...or accept crappy rules as the price to pay for playing low limit BJ. I was reading recently that a casino in AC was trying to get approval to charge .25/hand for $5.00 and under BJ...it was the only way they were willing to offer such low limits.
