Blackjack "Rules"

I need some help from all of you seasoned gamblers. What are the "rules" for blackjack? I know there are certain times when you should "hit" and "hold." Can someone give me a rundown?

If the dealer has a bust card, 2,3,4,5, or 6 and you have over an 11 then you should stay, if the dealer has a 7 or better and you have under a 17 then you should hit. You should double on 10 or 11 if the dealer is not showing a 10, and you should always split 8's and Ace's. The biggest rule is NEVER split 10's or 5's. That is the basics of it.

Go to a web site like blackjack-strategycard.com and print out the matrix of the optimum strategy for all situations. Nothing can make you a winner since the house has an edge but it will stretch your playing time. Since HAL casinos remix the cards you can't do any "Card Counting" to improve your odds.

 

 

Besides if you got caught, in Vegas they throw you out of the casino; on a HAL cruise you get dumped overboard.

Go buy the "Mensa Guide to Casino Gambling". It tell how to play blackjack, as well as most casino games. There is a lot of good info in this book.
