Shuttle service at Long Beach Pier

Question for previous cruisers. Can you just get off the ship (Splendor) get your baggage and walk outside a get a shuttle service to take you to the LAX airport, or do you have to pre-book with them? And does it cost more to do it this way then pre-book with the quoted price.

If someone has actually done this please respond.

Last July, we got off of the Mariner and walked to the Super Shuttle, which took us to LAX. We had reservations with them, but there were people who got on the shuttle with us who didn't. There were several Shuttle's lined up going directly to the airport waiting.

 

I think our fare was a couple of bucks cheeper than theirs, because we had prepaid online.

there was a SS stand under the parking and drop off area..late in the morning there were still alot of people waiting on Shuttles..
