purplerules Posted March 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2010 Will there be shuttle service at the Long Beach port after cruise ship comes in that you can just walk up to and pay to ride or do you have to arrange it in advance? We plan on staying on the ship as long as we can as our flight out of LAX is not until 3:45pm. Thanks for any info you can give us especially if you have done this yourself already. deepnite10 Posted March 31, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2010 there s no need to book ahead, though many do..there was a stand in the drop area in the parking garage where you could just ask for a van to wherever you need to go.. what id recommend though..is give yourself some time..it took us nearly 2 hrs to get from LAX to San Pedro.. if your on the Splendor.. despite some bad reviews about debarkation..we were off by 8:15am..the way things were going..everyone should be off by 11am.. downsized Posted April 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2010 We were on the Star this last weekend, and we delayed disembarkation as long as possible, (we hated to leave our suite!) I think that we left the ship about 10:00. As a party of nine, we cleared customs (really quite painless, btw) and found our way to the "shuttle island". (You have to stand on a small island in the middle of the street in front of the terminal.) We had no reservations, and we only had to wait about 10 minutes before they found us a shuttle to take us to LGB airport. It may have cost us a bit more due to the fact that we had no reservations, but $85 for nine of us was "do-able".
