vamel Posted April 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2010 We will be on the BOS in July for a 12 day Med cruise. My hubby's B-Day is in June, and I want to purchase him something smaller than a laptop, so he can keep up with his email and have something to load his pictures on. I was looking at the Ipad, but noticed that on the RCI site, it says that in order to use the WiFi, you have to have a Windows Operating System. Is this still valid? Wouldn't this mean that the Ipad wouldn't be able to connect to the WiFi? If I am understanding this correctly, a netbook might be a better option. Any advise from anybody would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I do know that people with apple computers have been available to connect onboard. The reason for RCI stating Windows operating systems only is they don´t want to have to give support to apple users. So stating Windows system only saves them from questions they possibly can´t answer;).
vamel Posted April 11, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Thanks for the response and the clarification. It sounds that no matter what I choose, as long as it has a WiFi connection it should work.
