SueG Posted April 15, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2010 Here is an 8k room. I just booked this 8K room on the Legend. Only difference is you will not have the larger balcony. The rest will be the same. Found this on cruisecritic. Hope they do not mind me posting it here again. http://picasaweb.google.com/waltm2/Cabin#5295688387945438514
blroper Posted April 15, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2010 We have an 8K and we found a video on you tube of one. Search for Carnival Legend 7205 on there.
debster818 Posted April 15, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2010 We have an 8K on Legend...#7179. What do you mean by, you won't have an extended balcony? I thought 8K stood for extended balcony.

I thought 8K stood for extended balcony. There are only a few of the extra large balcony rooms. If you look on the deck plan of the veranda, you will see that my room, 7258, has a larger balcony. Your room may have an extended, but not like the one in the photo. debster818 Posted April 15, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2010 I see what you mean. I am still happy to have gotten the extended balcony with a balcony guarantee though. I would of been happier with you balcony. Since this is our first balcony I think we did very good with the extended. Do you know if you can fit a lounge chair on an extended balcony? If so, how do you go about getting one?
karrie Posted April 15, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 15, 2010 I thought all extended balconies had lounge chairs. Is this not true? We are in 7279. I booked this category since there will be 3 in our room and I wanted the extra space. Thanks Karrie
debster818 Posted April 15, 2010 #8 Share Posted April 15, 2010 Anyone know the answer to this?
Irishlinny Posted April 15, 2010 #9 Share Posted April 15, 2010 The extended balconies still only have 2 chairs and a table. Not sure if you can get the steward to get you a lounge if you want it. Might be a little cramped, though...

I spend a ton of time out on mine no matter what the size. I really do not see a lounge chair fitting. But I really do not know. Once you get to your room and it looks like a lounge chair will fit, just tip your room steward, he will probably get it for you. If he doesn't, go get it yourself... I would. SueG Posted April 18, 2010 #13 Share Posted April 18, 2010 is the balcony actually bigger? The balcony looks like it will be wider. Which is a good thing. On a regular balcony it is hard to walk around the chairs.
cespo Posted April 18, 2010 #14 Share Posted April 18, 2010 here are some pictures with the extended balcony that we stayed in. It only has 2 chairs and a table, a lounge chair really would be tight.... we were room 8133

debster818 Posted April 26, 2010 #18 Share Posted April 26, 2010 Had 7179 on the Legend. Our first balcony and it was great! A bit biger than the others. A lounge chair would be a tight fit.
