Help with information on a carnival shore excursion

I have booked a shore excursion for me and my son(13) to go deep sea fishing in Cozumel. I was wondering if anybody else has done this excursion and could answer some questions for me. Question 1 is how many people do they put on the vessel with you ? Since you can not keep your catch do you tip your mates after the trip is over ? If so how much is a good tip and was it in U.S. Dollars or some other type of currency ? Any info would be so helpful !! I am just looking for some guidance on this excursion.
