JAX July 4th

Hi

I just booked the Fascination out of Jax for 7/5/10 and will be arriving in JAX 7/4/10. Looking for a park and cruise hotel with a great view of fireworks for the 4th. Any suggestions? TIA

Unless something has been built very recently, I don't believe there are any hotels close to the port. I'll check with DH tonight and see if he knows of anything close, but you will probably have to stay out by the airport or go past the turn off for the port and stay in one on 9A. Also maybe others that have cruised out of Jax can give you better info there too.

 

The best fireworks show is done downtown at The Landing. If you can get down there its pretty fun. There is always a free concert before the fireworks start. Not sure who the bands will be this year, but in years past we've seen performers such as Wynona Judd and Lone Star. If you would prefer to get an early start on your beach activities, Jax Beach will have tons of stuff going on there too and their own fireworks.
