SoCal09 Posted April 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2010 I just booked our trip from Boston to Bermuda on May 28 on the Spirit... We are really looking forward to this. Balcony on the 9th deck so it should be nice! Doug

SoCal09 Posted April 28, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted April 28, 2010 Can hardly wait.... What are some good things to do near the Dockyard? Beaches and general exploring...
Milaandra Posted April 30, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2010 The military museum, the dolphin encounter and a glass-blowing demonstration are all at the Dockyard, but you'll definitely want to go further afield for the real Bermuda experience. cruisinreunion Posted April 30, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2010 We just returned and did one day in St. Georges (Ft St Catherine, Tobacco Bay Beach, Unfinished Church, the square, and lots of little stores), one day in Hamilton (Caves/Aquarium/shopping/and bus to Horseshoe Bay) and one day just in the Dockyard. As other posters stated there is the Dolphin Quest (expensive but memorable), the maritine musuem (about $10 each), Snorkel Park (free, small, facilities, great snorkeling and no undertow), glassblowers, rumcake and clayworks. Plus plenty of little gift shops and of course, The Frog and Onion Restaurant. We saved this for our last day so we didn't have to worry about hurrying back to the ship. csaeroach Posted April 30, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2010 We just booked the NCL Spirt for May 28th sailing as well... we have never been to Bermuda so really looking forward to it. Spending lots of time on CC trying to see what is available, and we decided to get a bus pass for the time we are there and tour on our own. We do not plan on booking any ship excursions. This is exactly what I would recommend for a 1st time visitor!! I am counting down the days.
