greatam Posted May 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2010 After debarking in Valparaiso is it difficult to hire a taxi for transport to a Valparaiso or Vina del Mar hotel? You have to walk OUTSIDE the port entrance to get a local taxi. Only PERMITTED vehicles are allowed inside the gates. Very easy as a general rule. DON'T let the taxi driver charge you more than $20.00 to most any hotel (less if it is in Valpo). You can also have your hotel send a car. Then you don't have to hassle language or where the hotel is.

ldog Posted May 21, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 21, 2010 There is a taxi desk inside the luggage hall. It is probably are more expensive than walking out and finding your own cab. We were unsure so we used them. It cost about $25 to go to our hotel but the driver didn't know where he was going so had to stop and ask a lot of people to find our hotel.
