Woohoo! First time $100 OBC!

We are first-time cruisers, and we booked with the Early Saver program. I had been checking occasionally, but had not seen any price drops. I read on this board that you should check more often, so I started checking twice a day and caught a $50 price drop that only lasted half a day! So with 2 of us I got $100 OBC. Thank you whoever gave this advice! We sail in a little over a month.:)

How do you do this...is it only if you see a drop in price...or do additional onboard discounts count as well for example 20% of any shore excursion bookings?
