San Juan Embarkation Time

We are sailing from San Juan for the first time. I notice that the departure time on our Millenium cruise is 8:30 PM. Can anyone tell us what the normal embarkation time is. We want to board early, get rid of our luggage, and then go back to town. We are doing a precruise at the Sheraton Old San Juan. The alternative will be to just store our bags at the hotel between late checkout and the time we board. Thanks

We've sailed out of San Juan 4 times, and each time we've embarked between noon and 1:00 pm. Our cabin hasn't always been ready, but we have not had to wait more than 30 minutes for access. Embarking early allows us to drop our carry-on luggage and go back out into the town, grab lunch at the buffet, or have a cocktail before having to unpack and get ready for dinner.
