sweetred61 Posted June 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2010 Hi there to anyone who will be sailing on the Radiance Oct 2011 Sydney to Perth. This will be our second cruise so very excited, our fisrt was on the Pacific Sun so I am thinking this is an upgrade.Although we had a great time on the Sun,anyway can anyone let me know what to expect or have any hints or tips for us, what the drink prices are like and what is included in the fare in regards to dining apart from the usual dining areas. We have heard about drink packages etc,can anyone shed some light on it all for me.We are from Perth so not sure if prices will be American based. We cant seem to find out much from anyone. We have booked a balcony room on the 7th deck, was this a good choice. We will have great time anyway I know ,we just want as much info as I can get. G'day sweetred and welcome! This is shaping up to be a great cruise. I did the Rhapsody our of Freo earlier this year and we purchased a wine package on-board on the first night. The price worked out at around US$22 per bottle. They had four different classes of packages, gold, platinum, diamond and Aussie. The G,P,D packages were mostly American reds and whites while the Aussie was Australian and New Zealand reds and whites (you choose which red or white wine you want each night from within the package you have purchased. Any leftovers you can save for the next night or take back to your cabin) Beer cost US$4.95 for a VB stubbie with similar prices for other beer types. All prices on the Radiance will be in US$ and charged to your sea-pass account. (the casino may have a different arrangement, I am not sure though as we only used the US$ cash we took on board with us for our brief gambling spree) The Rhapsody makes the Pacific Sun feel like a ferry, and the Radiance is bigger than the Rhapsody by the same margin, so yeah its a bit of an upgrade, we are really looking forward to trying her out. :D Cheers, Brad
