Josie2 Posted July 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2010 I have visited gotopueurtorico.com and other sites but have not been able to find a good, printable walking map of old San Juan. I suppose I can pick one up there but there are a few places I wanted to mark in advance. Does anyone have an idea where I might get one? Thanks

Spurscorner Posted July 9, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2010 There is also a web site called "Visit The Coqui" that has a lot of good info included a nice self guided walking tour http://www.visit-the-coqui.com/cruise-ship-visitors/
greenscooter Posted July 10, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 10, 2010 About.Com (Puerto Rico) has a very good walking tour that hits all the highlights of OSJ. There are also trolleys (North & South) that you can hop on when your legs get tired of walking.
bambam2972 Posted July 11, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 11, 2010 I hope the museums, etc are open for you. We tried to do the walking tour but several things were closed (even though we were there between their open hours and it wasn't a holiday). We got so sunburnt because we thought we'd be inside all day. That's no way to start your honeymoon.:o
MagSeven1413 Posted July 15, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 15, 2010 If you're doing a walking tour, don't forget to walk up (or down) Calle Del Cristo to visit the Cathedral - regardless of your religion. Aslo, walk along the Paseo de la Princesa (the bottom left of the map) which will take you along the old city walls up into the city near Calle Del Cristo. There is just so much to do.
