calee Posted February 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2005 Anyone use the hotels recommended by quickcoach? flying into Seattle on Friday, cruise on Saturday in Vancouver. They offer hotel reservations with their transportation and I wondered how their prices compaired to booking out right. I stayed at the Fairfield Inn(Seatac)on my last cruise and decided to stay again this May. During my planning I found that this is one of Quickcoach's recommended hotels and, in checking, found a savings of only $2 by booking it myself, hardly worth the effort. One thing that I made note of from my last cruise was that Quickcoach starts it's journey from Seatac and then makes stops at various hotels(even non-recommended)along the way. We were glad that we stayed near the airport because, even though we were one of the busses first stops, it was already quite crowded when it arrived for us. We then stopped at two additional hotels in downtown Seattle and the folks boarding at that time were not happy campers because they weren't able to sit together, and luggage space was gone and they ended up holding there carry ons in their laps for the long ride. I don't know if this experience was a typical Quickcoach experience or not but I've decided to rent a car from National and drive to Vancouver on my upcoming cruise....very convenient with a car drop off at Canada Place,
Budget Queen Posted February 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 9, 2005 Since the hotels are listed, perhaps compare rates directly?? I had a good rate with http://www.lowestfare.com which ended up being a couple hundred cheaper than other sites, including the hotel's own on my New Orleans trip. So it pays to compare several?
