Split to Hvar?

I'll be in Split in September and someone was telling me about taking a ferry to Hvar. Has anyone ever done this? Is it worth it?

 

I'll be there from 7am - 3pm.

doubt you could really enjoy it in time you have available...we sailed from Split to Hvar as part of cruise and seems quite a ferry ride away..plus, if you get to Split at 7,they dock right in town at pier....you ll barely have time to see that city well....much less rushing to catch another boat...Hvar is small,but scenic,beach on outskirts of Old town,,,great to visit,but reallly can t be appreciated when having to rush to get back again,,,of course,just my opinion...lovely area to explore...:)

No, it's not possible to do it in such short time frame.

as mentioned above you can't do it...

but sometime in the future you must get yourself to Hvar..
