Bad weather ahead? How do you take care of home while you are cruising?

We are forecasted to get 15 to 25 inches of snow here in Southern Maine tomorrow and, while we are not cruising, the question came up of what arrangements we would make if we were. We have a house sitter move in to care for the dogs while we are gone but who would care for the house sitter? Plow the drive, clear the deck and walkways, handle power outages, feed the birds and outside critters, etc.....With dogs that are only 14 inches tall, snowfalls up to 2 feet deep make it pretty tough for them to go to the bathroom and just get out of the house for walking around a little.

We had a housesitter who was to take care of the snow as well. He did for the first huge storm, but left some to be desired for the second storm. Still chipping ice and waiting for tomorrow's storm.

If you livedown here by Houston, the worries about the big snows are pretty much gone. :D
