jonsmom Posted February 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2005 Hi Everyone I have posted this question over in the Ports of Call section and havent gotten any responses. There really isn't anything to do at all in Freeport. Why does RCI even stop there? Any suggestions? We may just end up staying onboard. Thanks. sally4909 Posted February 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2005 Take a taxi to Our Lucaya which has both the Westin and the Sheraton. You can buy a wristband for $10 so you can use the facilities and get a towel. Wonderful pools and great activities going on outside at the Sheraton. The beach is great as well. My daughter and I had fun jumping thru the waves and playing in the sand. There is a marketplace across the street where it is much cheaper to eat but the food is great at the hotels, just pricier. There are outdoor restaurants with chairs and table service. I stayed there a week and had a wonderful time. To check it out, go to tripadvisor.com and seach "our lucaya." Many great reviews with ideas of what others have done if you want to do a boat excusion like snorkling. Have fun. Wish I was at Our Lucaya right now. jonsmom Posted February 10, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted February 10, 2005 With another winter storm approaching, I wish I were ANYWHERE right now. I thought I had read on some prior posts that the Sheraton was no longer allowing cruise passengers to use their facilities. How long was the taxi ride over, do you remember?
