NCL Sky to Bahamas - Excusions or what to do with toddler?

We booked a 4-night cruise on the NCL Sky in December to the Bahamas (Freeport and Nassau). Would love to hear shore excursion or best activities/places/beaches to see with an almost 2 year old. We seem a bit limited on the excursions due to the toddler, however the dolphin encounter sounded fun (but pricey). There were also a couple of "beach day" excursions that sound ok but wonder if they are worth the price for 4 adults and a toddler, or if it is better to just take a cab to some beach. If anyone has been to Freeport and Nassau with toddlers, would love to hear your suggestions. Thank you!!
