September-Grand Turks Weather

We will be leaving in less than 3 weeks and were wondering if anyone has cruised at this time, what has been the weather at that time? Is this a time when its alweays raining? Thanks

You are indeed in rainy season, but that does not mean it rains all the time...

usually it pours late in the afternoon for a short time and then it all clears up.

The weather will be in the mid to high 80s.

It will be beautiful and generally if it rains the sun will come out a few minutes later.

 

Just worry about hurricanes.

We were there that time last year....we did the Liberty Eastern Route and we had PERFECT weather. The only time it rained was during sailaway (which kinda sucked), a brief shower on a sea day that was over in 10 minutes....and the morning we pulled into San Juan. Otherwise...weather was gorgeous!

The weather can be great that time of year....Whatever you do though don't google hurricane Ike from two years ago which hit the time of year you are going....

Sailed last year in Sept, weather Grand turk was gorgeous. Dont worry about a hurricane,

if your in the path of a hurricane they will divert to another island.

Safety is their # one priority.
