Info about the port in New Orleans

We're sailing out of New Orleans on the Grandeur on March 12. Could someone tell me about the port? Do they have priority boarding?

 

We're flying in a couple days early so we don't need to worry about parking.

They do have priority boarding. As you enter the terminal, show the cruise rep your boarding documents and they will direct you to the appropriate line.

When we sailed on Grandeur (day after T'giving), we arrived at the pier about 11 AM and they delayed boarding as people were still getting off! We were on by about noon but rooms were not ready until 1 PM and they had doors to cabin area closed.

Thanks Ronn452 - I just reached Platinum status so this will be my first experience with the priority boarding.

 

truffles2 - was the Windjammer open when you were allowed on the ship around noon?
