cruisegalsince77 Posted September 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2010 Two families of three traveling together. Our travel agent suggested we split the two cabins with boys in one (two husbands and son of one couple) and girls in another (two wives and daughter of one couple) as one family are past cruisers w/ Carnival and the other not. We were able to get the same great rate and upgrade to same deck. My question is, during embarkation, can we tell them our situation and get our keys coded correctly (one family in one cabin, the other family in the other) or do we just use our children's keys since they are seven years old and won't be responsible for carrying their own? (because they are likely to misplace them and Moms end up carrying them anyway) Or can we get extra keys made onboard? I appreciate your advice and insight!
ChefSusan Posted September 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2010 All you have to do is go to Guest Services as soon as you get on the ship, and have them recode the Sign & Sail cards so that Family "A" is in one cabin and Family "B" is in the other. travelntreats Posted September 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2010 This is done ALL THE TIME for $$avings and your TA did the right thing for you for certain ! The cruiseline staff when onbard are very familiar with this practice and will have no problems making the corrections and adjustments and key exchanges when you board the ship !!! Kudos to your TA for looking out for your best interest and $aving$
