Berk987 Posted September 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2010 We'll be 3 families travelling together. 6 adults and 6 kids under 6. So we need seats for 11 and 1 high chair. On our last cruises we've only had 8 with us so we always got a table for 10. Do you know if there is anything bigger than 10 so we can all sit together? 11 + high chair possible? I wonder if the staff will pull tables together to accommodate us if we show up at 5:30 every night? That's our usual meal time (for the kids), 5:30. Thanks. jtl513 Posted September 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2010 Presuming the Nieuw A seating will be the same as the Eurodam, there are at least two places where you could have 12 at a rectangular table. See http://www.wa70.com/hal/dining/ Signature Class for diagrams (click to enlarge) and check 105/143 Lower (open seating) or 9/11 Upper (fixed time). Also there are many round tables for 10 where it appears there's enough room to add one more chair and a high chair.

Aunty Pat Posted September 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2010 You or your travel agent can contact ships services and make a group dining request for the time and table size that you want. You can even request a specific table number if you know it. You’ll need to have everyone’s booking numbers in order to do this and you will need to switch to first or second seating. jtl513 Posted September 9, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2010 Even if you end up with Open seating, you can make a reservation each day for a specific table. For a table that large and that early, they might even allow you to make a standing reservation.
Berk987 Posted September 9, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted September 9, 2010 thanks everyone. just called ship services. since we are open seating they won't let me book the table in advance. we just have to go there and request it and we can request up to 3 days but I'm sure they will give us the same table all week since there aren't that many big tables and we're 6 adults and 6 kids under 6 so no one wants to sit w/us except us :) we'll just have to remember to do it right after we board and get settled in. merryecho Posted September 9, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 9, 2010 It is thoughtful of you to plan to eat early- I can't imagine 6 little ones all sitting politely through a 3 course meal every night.

I've been searching for weeks for table plans and here they are! I love these Boards. Cynthia
