Luckyroot Posted February 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2005 I know that they have guides who'll help you climb the falls, and that they take groups and everyone holds hands. Is it possible to get a guide just for yourself? That is, could I ask a guide to just take myself and my husband? Don't really love the idea of being herded like cattle, all holding hands. I'd be willing to tip accordingly for a "private" guide. TIA
llund Posted February 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2005 Both times I have been to the falls, I have had a private guide. The first time, there were 8 of us from the cruise ship and we got a guide for just us. The next time, we had a guide for 4 of us. Ask for Norman if he is available. He was great. Of course, don't forget to give him a tip.

KamloopsCruisers Posted February 18, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2005 We were there two weeks ago and really enjoyed our guide, Dwight. Our guide for the day, Mark Morris, personally selected Dwight from the group of guides waiting at the falls. I think he made an excellent choice for us.
