Msddouglas Posted February 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2005 We have a (3) night post cruise visit in Vancouver before our flight home. Which hotel is the best choice Hyatt or Le Soleil. Le Soleil's rates on Expedia are $100 less for the (3) nights and says to be (3) blocks from the cruise terminal. Is this walkable with heavy (rollable) luggage? Thanks in advance for your help! Urban trekker Posted February 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2005 Le Soleil's is more of a boutique style of hotel located in the heart of the financial and shopping district - it's slightly downhill to the ship - will the hotel provide a shuttle to the pier - also are you sure that you are sailing from Canada Place - if you are on RCCL you sail from Ballantyne pier - about two miles from your hotel - most ships do go from Canada Place Hyatt is only a couple blocks further away from Canada Place. Hope this helps Cheers Dennis
Msddouglas Posted February 16, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted February 16, 2005 We are suppose to port at Canada Place. I've read most of the posts, and have heard only good things about the Hyatt. Is it worth saving the $100, we will not spend much, if any, time in the room other than sleeping. Does the Hyatt have shuttle service from the pier to the hotel? Transportation, or getting the luggage to the hotel is one of my major concerns. I've heard the taxi wait can be long when new ships arrive. Suggestions?? Thank you for you help and advice.
