San Juan Luggage Valet?

Does anyone know if they have re-instated the Luggage Valet in San Juan? We used it in 2008 & it was wonderful...hoping it will be available for us in October...

I am sailing The Serenade next week. Will report when we get back, if it is back again or not. I sure hope it is....:)

It was not available in May for our last cruise, and I think other posts have said that it was not available very recently...so don't hold your breath. Sorry.:(

We just disembarked the Serenade on Sunday, 9/12. Luggage Valet was not available.

No, we just got off her on 10/3, and it wasn't available. We had a 10:30am flight to catch.We were able to disembark at 7:30am, at the airport by 7:45am, and beat the rush, and caught the flight with plenty of time. Plenty of porters at the ship terminal, not a problem at all....:)

Thanks..we will have priority departure as D+ so that will help...was really hoping for the luggage valet though...

Nice to know you were at the airport by 7:45 and caught a 10:30am flight with plenty of time - we have a 9:45am flight on 11/14, I'm hoping we make that one just as easily, but I know we'll be cutting it close. Did you carry off your own luggage, and if so, how much did you have? We'll each have a very large suitcase (yikes!)...

 

Someone on the Royal Caribbean board said they came off the Serenade on 10/4 and had Luggage Valet service..... It isn't offered if you have a flight before 11am, is that maybe why it wasn't offered to you, jaxsonbrownie?

I read that on the main board too...sure hope they are right...our flight is at 12:15 so we would qualify...

Had an email from the conceige on the Serenade regarding our upcoming cruise...so I asked her about the luggae valet in San Juan...she told me it had been discontinued!:eek: Sure hope she is wrong...I will post my experience when I return after the 31st...

Sorry to say the Luggage Valet is NOT available at this time from San Juan...but in spite of that we had NO problems getting to the airport & checked in...I am D+ so we were escorted off around 8 am ...found our luggage almost at once...and it was all together..grabbed a porter...he loaded the cart, turned our forms over to customs & off we went...got to the airport..again grabbed a porter..NO line at the Agriculture check in...got our bags scanned & then headed to Jet Blue check in...less than 5 mins later we were done & headed to security..one person in front of us & Voila...we were done..at the Gate shortly after 9 for a 12:30 flight...easiest airport check in I've ever had...anywhere!!!
