I just thought I'd share this with any parents who are cruising to the Netherlands Antilles with their kids... My daughter is currently taking the book 'The Cay' in school and had an assignment to find places mentioned in the book on a map. While we were looking up Curacau, we found out that the Netherlands Antilles is going to be dissolved as of October 10, 2010, and most of the islands are going to become independent countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. While Sint Maarten wasn't one of the places on her list, my daughter is planning to let her Teacher know that she will be there in December. I'm seeing a 'special report' in someone's future... :p
