Unless you wanted to try one of the other lesser known cruise companies, generally feel that most people will either go to a TA or website for companies like RCCI, P&O, Cunard and Celebrity, possibly Princess Cruises as well. Used to go to the motor show at the NEC and that used to get packed as well, not a good experience. ScrozUK
Greghouseo Posted October 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2010 The London Cruise show was awful. A.W.F.U.L. Too confined a space, nothing new, nothing innovative, nothing exciting. I stayed for 56 minutes, which in retrospect was 56 minutes of my life that I can never ever get back. Impossible to move (not sure, Laura, how you can equate "impossible to move" with "huge success". It was claustrophobic and highly unpleasant. I felt I ought to attend, and regretted in from the minute I entered Olympia.
nijh Posted October 18, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Well Greg you managed longer than I did at the Birmingham one. I actually feel angry that I attended and paid money (petrol, parking) to do so. It wasn't even the case that "All the main cruise lines...will be selling their wares..." a number of them (Costa, Princess, Thomson, MSC) weren't there. I was going to ask how CC could affiliate themselves to such a thing, but as they did not turn up either I think that says it all. Disgraceful waste of my time. I have emailed the organisers to register my disgust and would recommend anyone else with similar feelings do similarly. That way maybe this travesty of a 'show' will not con people into going to it next year as well.
