Golf Simulators

I used the one on the Diamond on the Far East cruise earlier this year.

You get a choice of several championsip courses; I played on Banff Springs, and the Belfry.

The playing surfaces had various lengths of artificial grass to simulate the rough and you can use a putter when you get to the green. There was a full range of clubs available, not sure what brand, but l/h and r/h were catered for.

The screens seemed quite responsive to the type of shot played (fade, draw etc) and the distances seemed reasonably accurate for the particular club used. The least satisfactory from my viewpoint, at least, was the putting. You'll see what I mean if you get to try it out

Not sure about the prices. On our cruise, early on, there was an invitation to take part in a "nearest the pin" competition, about 15-20 players turned up for that. I was lucky enough to win a free session so I didn't get to pay any fees.icon12.gif
