jckvpa0 Posted March 8, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted March 8, 2005 Try the Hyatt. It's beautiful and quiet. Do you have any info on the Hyatt? What they charge, water sports, did you take a cab there & how much was it? Any info would be helpful
kjunea Posted March 8, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2005 I think it is $35 for chairs, towels, use of pool, beach, etc. I think that also includes $15 credit towards bar/restaurant bill. Only part of the Hyatt is open now, the section on Seven Mile Beach. The other part across the road is still closed. Someone also said the Marriott is taking people for day trips too, but don't know how much they charge, etc. That hotel is still closed too, but they let people use the restaurant, snorkel off there, pool etc. for a day fee. Their pool is not as nice as the Hyatt's pool, IMHO. (I've stayed at the Marriott and toured the Hyatt) The Hyatt also has a Red Sail Tour desk that books snorkels, dives, etc. Hope that helps! jckvpa0 Posted March 9, 2005 Author #6 Share Posted March 9, 2005 Thanks think I'm going to do the Hyatt. Anyone have any suggestions for Montego Bay, the Sunset Beach does not look as good as the Hyatt in Grand Cayman!
NYCchic Posted March 11, 2005 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2005 Was just in Grand Cayman this past Tuesday. Also used the Hyatt beach. I actually was just there for 2 hours so did not want to pay the $35 for chairs so I just laid out on my towel and was charged nothing! Even took a dip in the pool. Had a lovely day there. I also ate lunch at their restaurant Hemingway's...had the most delicious lobster salad! Cobb salad was also great. A little expensive but worth it - excellent food and views! powriel Posted March 14, 2005 #8 Share Posted March 14, 2005 No charge to access the beach throught the Marriott. Chair rental is $
lovemylife Posted March 14, 2005 #9 Share Posted March 14, 2005 Does the Hyatt offer water sport rentals, jet skis and that kind of thing? If I understand correctly, the Marriott does. Also the fee for the Marriott is only for the beach, not the pool? Thanks, we leave in less than 2 weeks!!!!
lahoban Posted March 18, 2005 #10 Share Posted March 18, 2005 There are two marriott hotels. Do you know which one has the good snorkeling? Does the Hyatt have good snorkeling as well? Thanks
