Bathrooms and Shrimp shacks? ( Kauai)

I hate going to someplace and going through the day not knowing where to find a restroom! While touring Waimea Canyon, are there any rest areas, gas stations that will allow bathroom use? Port-a-pot's? It never fails that I have to go when it is the least convenient time!

 

Also I read in an old post about a great shrimp shack off of 550. Anyone know where to find this or other good eatery in the Wimea canyon area? We were going to just pack a lunch, but always love a shrimp truck!

Up Waimea Canyon there are restrooms at the Koke'e lodge and also at the Overlooks at the top, and at least one of the vistas along the way.

You will see the "Shrimp Station" on State Highway 50 at the junction of State Highway 550 and 50. They have picnic tables, bathrooms and outdoor sinks where you can wash your hands after enjoying their shrimp dishes. :p

Shrimp Station is on Hwy 50, close to where you exit the canyon. Not fancy but good, also inexpensive.
