Nachi cocum/conzumel safe????

There has been so much talk lately about how unsafe Mexico is - does anyone have and feedback about whether or not it's safe to still go to Nachi and around Cozumel?

Well I don;t think there are problems in Cozumel, but who can be 100% certain..I have been to Nachi before and plan on being there on Saturday, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to Nachi in September and felt totally safe. It's always something to keep in the back of your head but as long as your smart about it you shouldn't have any problems.

We were in Cozumel in August and felt perfectly safe. It is my understanding that Cozumel is not an area or near an area that is affected by the violence/drug trafficing in Mexico. However, we remained alert and aware of our surroundings, as you should always do.

My daughter and I usually cruise by ourselves and have always felt safe in Coz. Just use the same common sense you'd use anywhere and be aware of your surroundings.
