So, After the hurricanes...

Sometimes it is difficult to overcome somethings quickly so I hope the people of St. Kitts were able to recover from their awful hurricane season and that they are doing better. And, for those of you who have recently been to St. Kitts, what beach did you go to and what did you think about it and if you snorkeled, how was it? I plan to taxi to one of the beaches but after reading the posts, I am confused about which one to go to. Any help from my fellow cruisers? :confused:

You should look at the other recent thread where we (and others) have talked about the subject. St Kitts really did not take a direct hit from any of the hurricanes, but it did suffer through an entire month with a lot of rain. In fact, some locals told us (we were there 3 weeks ago) that it was the rainiest month in history (not sure if this is true). The rain damaged some beaches and also some of the roads. They had another bad few days after we left so there is probably even more rain damage.
