coloradoan Posted February 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2005 I've been reading lately of ships changing itineraries. How do you deal with your tour operators (private, not ship sponsored) when that happens? I'm looking at the cruisecal for Cozumel when we're suppose to be there, and 9 ships in port that day! I'm thinking that's a great candidate for Carnival deciding to switch days on that stop. Any experiences with that out there? We'll be on the Elation, with stops at Progresso, Cozumel and Belize. kujobie Posted February 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2005 Most tour operators will refund you if your ship misses the port. Verify that with them before you book the tour. The ship will not miss a port just because of a large number of ships there. Just means the port will be crowded.
coloradoan Posted February 23, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted February 23, 2005 thanks Kujobie, I guess it just then becomes a matter of buying a tour at the dock instead of in advance. That sounds a little adventurous, but hey, guess that's what vacation is for!
TNtraveler Posted February 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2005 Nine ships in port in Cozumel is no big deal (except for the passengers! ). I think the average is more like 11 during 'high' season.
