Deb0702 Posted November 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2010 We're booked for our first cruise on NCL Pearl to Alaska on July 10 and I was thinking of switching our mini suite on deck 11 to a lower deck as a precaution against motion sickness. But I see online there are no mid ship balcony rooms (BA) available on the entire ship. Wow, could they really be all sold out already? Could it be a computer glitch? Any ideas?
travel guy Posted November 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2010 yes this is possible. Alaska cruising is a short season, and July is a popular month to cruise Alaska. I recommend booking about 10 to 12 months in advance for an Alaska cruise if you want a specific type of cabin in a specific month.

ilovesassy Posted November 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2010 I wouldn't worry about motion sickness too much on an Alaskan cruise. We have had problems with this before, but not on our Alaskan cruise. The water is very calm.

When I checked again a week later there was some available and it stayed that way for a few weeks and is displaying sold out again.

FuninWB Posted November 18, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2010 Our May sailing Boston to Bermuda is already sold out completely, so it could be that the balconies for your cruise are already gone. I was surprised also.
