On the cruise ship the world yes that happens alot and that is the way that ship works.THIS ONLY AS A Hypothetical .......................................................................

just think what would happen if P&O or princess started saying that thier cruises that are listed in the books and on line for cruises are only suggested inteneray's.Hypotheticaly We had booked a 14 night cruise nz and boarded and they told us that they have changed the cruise from nz to Fiji.:DI wonder what people would say.

I take your point Steve.....

but it can and does happen.

When we booked QM2 for a Med Cruise, one of the ports was to be Gibraltar and we organised a big reunion there with friends....got on board and the Captain said....By the way we are not going to Gibraltar now. Sorry.

We have been on one of these cruise to no where and never again what a waste if time and money..;)

I reckon a Cruise to Nowhere is great value.

Try booking into a Hotel for 3 days and then going to the Restaurant

for all the meals you get on board the ship....to say nothing of all the Entertainment and Shows that are thrown in.

The bill would be horrendous.

You cant beat a Cruise for Good Value.

I agree with you there. Have been checking prices for island holidays and can't believe some of them. Even a cabin in a caravan park can cost over $100 and that's all you get!

I know...and some of them want you to bring your own bedding:eek:

The extras included in a cruise are amazing.

We have friends that have a campervan and they are always telling us how great it is.

OK..Buy one and then maintain it....

then buy all your food...

often at out of the way places where you have to pay the going price....

Cruising will do me..Thank You.

I do not know where the $100 per night cruises are.;) cheapest I found with going to Ta.s was $400 Quad share, $699 twin share and both prices are inside cabins and they at worst cabins on the ship.

start price outside cabins are $709 twin share

just place is the P&O book page 71

Ther panty of great place to stay at $ 45 per person with breakie and a great sho each night one is the casino on the Gold coast, we have done that a few times.

Allways getting people ring or email about great short hols at great hotels at great prices even getway do it.

Well you go for it Steve,

All I know is when I come home and add up all the extras from a Hotel...

You cant beat a cruise.

Shop around , the TA's wont give you the best deal, they want a big commission,

just be patient and keep checking the cruise line web sites.

They DO COME UP, and when they do you have to move.

Well Daivid,

We do not waste our time on Little three day cruise to no where.

But hotels in Nz may be priced a little different then Australia, and We get realy great short three day packeges here David.

With cruises David the longer the cruise the better the price, But then again We in Australia have more to choose from don't we David.:D

Does it matter where the ship goes when the cruise is advertised as a "Cruise to Nowhere"? Why should they tell anyone in advance where the ship is going? The decision is probably made very close to the time, after considering weather conditions.

We went on a 3-day cruise to nowhere years ago and, although we enjoyed life on the ship, it would have been more interesting to anchor in Jervis Bay where passengers could look at something.

P&O could allways change it the mystery cruise
