Best embarkation time @ Long Beach Port

My wife and I will be sailing on the Carnival Pride next Sunday, March 6th and we are flying out two days early to check out LA. Can anyone recommend the best time to arrive at the port for an easier/quicker embarkation process? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

We're leaving from LB as well on the Pride first week of April.

 

From what I've heard the best thing to do is either arrive early and take a tour of the Queen Mary, and be prepraed to wait (maybe even hours)

 

Or you can arrive later and miss the rush and get right on board.
