Comeoncruisin Posted December 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2010 Has anyone done the Hot Springs at Screw's Spa? What is it like - do you recommend - would you go again? Thanks
Caribbean Sunsets Posted December 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2010 We went to Screw's Spa last month. There are a series of springs and the temperatures very from hot to very cool. After we spent an hour or so in the different pools, they had a plate of fresh fruit for us. It was very nice, and I was glad I went. There's so much to explore in Dominica that I'll choose something else the next time I visit.
sarahtar Posted February 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2011 Is Screw's Spa all ages? We have a 2 yo and a 6 yo. I feel capable of making decisions about what's too hot for them, I'm more concerned about whether or not they'll be welcome. Thanks.

How long is the taxi ride and how long do you stay there?
greenscooter Posted February 23, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2011 Taxis right outside the gate: We paid $20 --15 minute ride. The landscaping and surroundings are very nice. Well worth an hour of your time to unwind and relax after a morning tour of Dominica. You can tell the owner takes pride in the place and we plan to visit again when we get to Dominica. Caribbean Sunsets Posted February 25, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2011 Yes, you can get a taxi at the pier. Remember to negotiate the cost upfront. The price started out at $35/pp and we went from van to van until we paid $15/pp.

SissyG Posted June 9, 2011 #10 Share Posted June 9, 2011 We are thinking of combining a few hours at the beach and then relaxing at Screw's on the way back to the ship. Which beaches are close or in the same direction as Screws and how is the best way to handle transportation...Are there taxis available at the beaches and at Screw's to return you to the dock area?
