Early or Late Traditional Dining?

How long does the traditional dining experience last? I'm trying to plan my show schedule around dining times. Currently not interested in MTD, but might change my mind depending...

My experience is they tend to rush the early dining more than the 2nd seating so making a show is easier from the early seating. That said, we have had such great table mates we have l sat around the table talking with the guests and staff while killing time before the really late shows. We prefer the later seating and usually get to see what shows we want.
