Hi there everyone,

My hubby and I are avid cruisers but this is the first time we go as parents. Our son will be 2 1/2 yrs old and we were wondering if anyone has any advice on what excursions to take with him. We want something safe of course and easy for him to maneuver in. We are first time parents as well and we just want him to have fun but be safe as well. Any help would be great, thank you so so much.;)

We have been cruising with our now 4 yr. old grandson since he was 5 months old and he loves the beach. I would pick a nice beach and take one of those life jackets that fit the whole body and some sand toys and your 2 yr. old will have a blast. The main thing is apply plenty of sunscreen often, you don't want a sunburned toddler. I have been reading up on the Marriott for a day pass, they offer a room and use of their facilities for 65.00 at certain times of the year. I think that would be nice for a day for a family and at least if your little one gets tired one of you could take him to an air conditioned room to nap.

Cleo, We are going on the Star Princess in April, and unless the Marriott isn't offering passes that day I think that is what we will be doing. I figure for 4 people 65.00 isn't a bad deal, you get to use the pools, chairs, and a room for the day, the beach and the Hotel has a casino. The research I have done shows there are a few restaurants close by so you have a few options. I have alway's enjoyed all of our cruises with our grown kids and the grandchildren, I think you will have a wonderful time with your son.
