GoodyearAZguys Posted January 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2011 Hello we are doing the twister to passion island when we go to Cozumel in March. My question is we get back from passion island at 3:15pm and the ship leaves at 7pm at the international pier. Will we have enough time to get a taxi to the shopping area shop some and make it back to the ship say around 6:30? First timers to Cozumel so not sure of time and how far things are thanks so much for your impute.
Rare crewsweeper Posted January 13, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2011 Depends on a couple of factors. 1) which ship are you sailiing on and do they use the time of the embarcation port for the cruise or switch to the tlocal time for the port they are in. There'll be a 1-2 hour difference between ship time and Cozumel time from mid March when the US switches to DST and the first Sunday in April when Cozumel switches to DST. If you're leaving out of a Gulf coast port, there's a 1 hour difference, East Coast there'll be a 2 hour difference. If you keep your watch on ship time, as the ship's daily newsletters will show you, you should have enough time to head into San Miguel and walk around the Plaza and do some shopping. I wouldn't linger anywhere too long but taxis should be plentiful. If you head back to your ship to change--and you will be wet from the Twister--don't dally on the ship.
