A silly question maybe but I am finding it harder to find out than I thought! How far (miles) is the transatlantic trip from the UK to New York?

About 3,000 regular miles. Also, 1 nautical mile = 1.15 miles = 1852 meters = 6067 feet.

On the last leg of QE-2's 2003 World Cruise, the closing report indicated that we had traveled 3185 nautical miles from Southampton to New York.

 

Recognize, however, that we did alter cause severally trying to avoid force 10 conditions of about 18-20 hours on our third day.
