Norwegian And Their Military Discount..

I arranged (did the research and referred them to a CA) a cruise on the Norwegian Jewel for March of this year for friends of mine that were booking 2 cabins. My question, and this is a little mind boggling, They forgot to request a Military Discount. When they called NCL, the Rep at NCL said they got a better deal with what they got then if they just used their Military discount. I was always under the impression that the Military discount was applied to the total of the cruise REGARDLESS of the deal they get. Kinda like using a coupon on an item that is already for sale at the store!! :confused:

Right now January is wave season. According to my TA, NCL sales prices are at a very low price . So NCL is not offering any additional discounts on top of the sale rate. For those that are outside of the final payment window, we will be able to pick up the military rate if it is lower, once the sale is over.
